Russell Singleton is a family medicine PA and Doctor of Medical Science candidate.
He completed his undergraduate studies in Health Science and Public Health at Brigham Young University – Idaho where he graduated with honors. He then obtained a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Idaho State University and was chosen to receive the Student Excellence Award.
Mr. Singleton began his medical career working in family and rural medicine. He has worked with the Eastern Idaho Public Health District and has spent time volunteering with regional hospitals and free clinics as well as the Red Cross. He is adjunct faculty at Brigham Young University – Idaho, teaching courses in Communicable and Noncommunicable Disease, and has precepted both PA, NP, and medical students in addition to having his work featured in medical publications. He continues to be interested in medical writing.
Nationally certified by the NCCPA, he is an active member of the American Academy of PAs, the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants, the California Academy of PAs, and is an alumnus of the National Health Service Corps.
Mr. Singleton enjoys caring for the hair, skin, and nails and is a Diplomate Fellow Candidate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. He is experienced in punch and shave biopsies, free-hand excision of skin lesions, cryotherapy, sclerotherapy, abscess incision and drainage, ED&C, and laceration repair. He has experience removing small lipomas and sebaceous cysts. Mr. Singleton is also proficient at injection of multiple small and medium sized joints.
PA Singleton also has interest in diabetes management and medical weight loss.
Having lived in South America for 2 years, he also speaks fluent Spanish.
